The Tri County Amateur Radio Club is home to amateur radio operators and radio enthusiasts in portions of Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall and Jackson counties – Georgia USA.

Whether you have been licensed for decades, newly licensed, recently upgraded, unlicensed or just getting back into the hobby – this club is your start to life-long friendships, an exciting hobby and many opportunities for community service.

TriCounty came about as a result of the vision of three local hams.  They saw a need for a local club in the convergence area of the four counties and in early 2009 the club was formed and went on the air with our 70cm repeater which was donated by Charles Locke, W4CLE.  Shortly thereafter Terry Jones, W4TL donated a 2 meter repeater and we went on the air on the popular 2 meter band.  Materials, time and funds were donated by several members to provide a shack for the housing of the repeaters.

The club has averaged 35 to 40 members each year since it’s inception and we invite you to join us and become a part of a great group of folks who enjoy many facets of ham radio.
