Tri-County Amateur Radio Club members participated in a fox hunt on Saturday, May 28, 2016, that was organized by past and present members of the Education Committee. Several members of the North Fulton Amateur Radio League also joined in the fun. The NARFL fox hunters impressed the TCARC group with their sophisticated equipment and superior skills, finding the fox in 16 minutes. They also shared their fox hunting techniques and their enjoyment of this aspect of the ham radio hobby with the group during a post-hunt discussion session. Some hunters with less experience and more rudimentary equipment took a “bit longer” to find the elusive fox, but a great time was had by all.
The May meeting will be moved to the Community Center across from the tennis courts and Braselton Park due to the upcoming elections. Hope to see you there May 23rd 7:00 pm.
The April meeting will be held at the alternate location across from the tennis courts in Braselton.
